Chesapeake Science Point Public Charter (CSP), in partnership with students, parent, and the community, provides a rigorous and quality education for middle and high school students with a special focus on science, math, and technology. By incorporating math and technology in the classroom and encouraging students to participate in an informational society, CSP students have the skills and experience to advance and excel in higher education and the workforce.

Monarch Academy students engage in hands on learning experiences through fieldwork and interaction with experts that result in the production of authentic products. Two times per year each grade features and explains their learning to families and community partners through their WingSpan celebration of learning.

One of the fundamental habits of excellence that our students embrace is that of Service and Compassion. All our students engage in a meaningful way in service to their community, such as a school wide lunchmaking event for a local shelter.

Another unique feature of our educational philosophy is the importance of a connection to the natural world through cultural arts electives called “Earth Matters” and “Adventure.”
