Become a MAPCS Member
Our members are public charter school operators throughout the state of Maryland. From Baltimore City to the western shore of St. Mary's County, our members provide innovative instructional approaches, and provide choice to Maryland's students and their families.
Requirements
Members must currently operate a public charter school in the state of Maryland or have been approved by their local school board to open and operate a public charter school.
Membership Types
Existing Charter Member - operate an existing public charter school or schools in the state of Maryland.
Newly Approved Charter Member - operate a public charter school that has been approved by a local school district but has not yet opened it's doors to students.
Affiliate Organization - Public contract schools operation with a charter-like contract operate in a similar environment and can benefit from the community that the Alliance provides. To inquire about "Affiliate Organization" status please contact TA@mdcharters.org.
Dues Payments
MAPCS is sustained by member schools, which provide operating revenue. Your membership strengthens our collective voice and is vital to the success of Maryland’s charter school community. The charter school movement needs to ensure that our schools are fairly represented, and MAPCS is committed to the hard work of making that happen.
With your membership, the Maryland Alliance of Public Charter Schools can continue to provide advocacy, support, and services for charter schools across the State. Your membership helps safeguard charter schools' autonomy, equal access to state/local funding, and adherence to high academic standards so that all public school options are quality options.
Members support MAPCS through dues and agree to terms of membership stated in MAPCS bylaws. To make a Dues Payment to instate or renew you charter's school's membership, click the link above.
