Job Description

We are looking for a fine arts teacher to join our team. We are interested in talking to music, art, dance, theater, or other creative arts teachers.

We are a small school with an emphasis on connection - connection with community, families, students, and content. We are looking for teachers who have a growth mindset and are passionate about the work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and implement instruction for a fine art for Pre-K to 8th Grade students.
• Welcome and communicate with families. Plan and support community showcases and celebrations.
• Connect and build relationships with students
• Administer assessments and collect and evaluate data. Maintain grades and complete grade reporting tasks.
• Build and manage a strong classroom community.

Qualifications

This is a Baltimore City certified teaching position. You must meet the hiring requirements of Baltimore City Schools to be eligible.

Minimum Education Level

Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.

Experience Required

Experience teaching students in a K-12 setting preferred.

We are a small public charter school in the Sandtown-Winchester community of West Baltimore. We have been a part of the community for more than twenty years and believe in the power of strong relationships to support our student's learning and growth as a whole child. We have a unique year-round calendar that is designed in six or seven week sessions with frequent breaks during intersessions.
