Mission

EXCEL Academy Public Charter School develops compassionate lifelong learners through inquiry-based learning experiences. These experiences cultivate intercultural understanding through innovative teaching techniques and community partnerships, with rigorous and culturally engaging academic and social learning opportunities.

Vision

To provide quality choice in public education to a chosen, gifted generation.  We strive to provide students with a learning environment that is meaningful, motivating, and celebrates learning diversity.  We provide a literacy and culturally rich environment.  We maintain small class sizes at all grade levels, employ highly qualified and motivated teachers, and institute student support systems comprised of staff and parents/guardians working cooperatively as well as create a safe and orderly environment.  Our approach is built upon four pillars:

Character Development
Our purpose is to cultivate an environment of high expectation with emphasis on responsibility, kindness, and respect for others. Positive attitudes and actions are recognized through Honor Roll assemblies, Student of the Month, and extended learning activities.

College Preparatory Curriculum
EXCEL Academy Public Charter School cultivates every child’s academic and social learning potential through a rigorous, standards-based, college preparatory academic program, geared towards the mastery of required skills.

Cultural Arts
Research shows the value of integrating cultural arts, especially music, throughout a curriculum. EXCEL Academy showcases student’s talent and creativity through its bi-annual fine arts events, seasonal musical performances, and Extended Day arts programs.

Community Partnership
EXCEL Academy Public Charter School constantly seeks community partnership opportunities that support it’s efforts to enrich and enhance each student’s overall “EXCEL experience.”
