The mission of the MAPCS is to empower the public charter school sector to thrive and advance the larger goal of ensuring all Maryland children and families have equitable access to a high-quality, innovative public education. MAPCS has a dynamic membership model with over 97% operator participation and works to engage a variety of stakeholders to strengthen, expand, and educate on the charter sector.

Anne Arundel County
Baltimore City
Baltimore County
Frederick County
Prince George’s County
St. Mary’s County
We are also growing our presence and impact in Charles County with our first public charter starting in the 2022-23 school year!

Subject area(s) of interest, if applicable
School districts/Counties of interest
Experience/Interest in innovative models of learning (ex. Montessori, International Baccalaureate, Arts Immersion, Bilingual immersion, Financial Education, etc.)
Experience/Interest in public charter schools
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, administrators, school staff, community, and diverse populations.
MAPCS will distribute applications to our membership, consisting of 50 charter schools throughout the state. Operators and school-based leadership will reach out to applicants of interest. Apply to participate in this round of resume collection with MAPCS.
Anticipated start date is Summer 2022 with salary commensurate with school district pay scales.
